#1. Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga – Nasik, Maharashtra
Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is located about 30 km from Nasik in Maharashtra near the mountain named Brahmagiri from where the river Godavari flows.
Kusavarta Kund (sacred pond) in the temple premises, built by Shrimant Sardar Raosaheb Parnerkar who was the Fadnavis of Indore State, is the source of the Godavari River, which is also known as Gautami Ganga – the most sacred river in South India.
Trimbakeshwar holds eminent spiritual importance as it is among the four Hindu cities where the Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years. The temple has a very unique shape and is famous all over the world.
The current temple was built by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao and is located between three hills namely Brahmagiri, Nilagiri, and Kalagiri.
Unlike the other 12 Jyotirlingas in India, the extraordinary feature of the Jyotirlinga located here is its three faces embodying Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Rudra.
The place is known for its scenic beauty in the rainy/ monsoon season and is surrounded by lush green hills untouched by pollution. Anjaneri Mountain, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, is 7 km from Trimbakeshwar.

Ghrishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple sometimes referred to as the Ghrineshwar or Ghushmeshwar Temple, is located in a village called Verul, which is 20 km from Daulatabad, near Aurangabad in Maharashtra. This is the 12th jyotirlinga in India.
The temple structure was destroyed by the Muslim invaders in the 13th and 14th centuries. The temple went through several rounds of rebuilding followed by re-destruction during the Mughal-Maratha conflict. It was rebuilt in its current form in the 18th century by the queen of Indore, Ahilyabai Holkar.
The temple is splendidly constructed with red and black stones. The temple has 5 storied Shikhara-style construction, which is the mountain peak style of architecture. This 240 ft x 185 ft temple is the smallest Jyotirlinga temple in India.

According to Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Stotram, Bhimashankar is the sixth jyotirlinga among the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. The Bhimashankar temple has a Nagara architectural pattern, which belongs to the Maratha style of architecture. Apart from its religious significance the area also offers several spectacular views.
This mesmerizing piece of worship was built by Nana Phadnavis in the 18th century. The temple’s Garba Griha is a beautiful amalgamation of Rajasthani and Gujarati influences in its Nagara (Indo-Aryan architecture) style. The outer walls of the temple depict scenes from Shiv Leela, Krishna Leela, Ramayana, and Mahabharata.

Parli Vaijnath Temple is an ancient Shiva temple located in the Beed district of Maharashtra. The temple is said to be more than 300 years old and is renovated by Rani Ahilyabhai Holkar in 1706 AD.

#2. Aundha Nagnath
Aundha Naganath is a town in the Aundha Nagnath subdivision of the Hingoli district. The town is known for the Aundha Nagnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is also known as Nageshwar Temple.
It is believed that the temple was built by Yudhisthira, the eldest Pandav, while they were in exile for 14 years. The temple was rebuilt by the Seuna (Yadava) dynasty in the 13th century.
The original temple was destroyed by Muslim invader Aurangzeb and rebuilt in the 18th century by Indore Queen Ahilyabai Holkar.
