How to Reach Deoghar

Deoghar is well-connected to other major cities of the country by air, road, and rail.

By Road

There are many regular bus services that are available to and fro the city of Deoghar to nearby cities of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.  Jharkhand State Road Transport Corporation Limited, West Bengal State Road Transport Corporation Limited and some private travel services offer daily bus services. You can also hire a taxi or drive a car from the same route. Follow NH2 and NH114 if coming from Kolkata. Follow NH20/ NH320 if coming from Ranchi. Follow NH31 /NH333 if coming from Patna.

By Train

Deoghar is quite well-connected to the rest of India via railways as well. Baidyanath Dham railway station is the nearest railway station, but the primary station is Jasidih Junction, which is on the Howrah (Kolkata) – Patna – New Delhi rail route. There are many regular train services, both the passenger as well as the express trains are there on this route. Jasidih Junction is located at 7 Km away from Deoghar city and is also connected with a branch rail link with Baidyanath Dham Station. Other nearby Airports are Jayaprakash Airport, Patna, located at a distance of 274 Km from Deoghar, Birsa Munda Airport Ranchi, located at a distance of 245 Km and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport Kolkata, located at a distance of 323 Km from Deoghar.

The closest international airport is Deoghar (DGH). There are daily flights to and from Kolkata & Delhi. The closest domestic airport is Patna.
